Thank the Lord for the recent YES Camp. Thank and praise Him for all His Blessings in the Camp.
My Experience
Through being the administrative in charge this year, i experienced the Lord’s faithfulness and how He is truly in control of everything. Things that were beyond us, and things that we missed out. The Lord filled all the gap of our oversight in His way. Praise Him.
One e.g is that on the first day of registration, there was a youth who turned up for the camp but we could not locate his registration for the camp. Was it an oversight on our part, or was it that he did not sign up? we were not able to find out at that moment. but the Lord is still in control, because just a few days before the camp, a youth pulled out and hence this youth was able to take the vacant role.
Another e.g. is that the Lord sent a helper to us for music even when we didn’t expect it. Praise Him for meeting our every need.
Third eg. The Lord is truly in control of everything, including the weather. during the three days of camp, each time we have outdoor activity, the Lord provide sunny weather so that our activities could be executed without any problem. During one of the days at Marina Barrage, in the midst of the extra, super hot sun, He provided shade to give us some shelter! Our Lord loves us so much that He takes care of every detail.
The message during the camp encourages me, even though I am not one of the youths in the camp. =P We need to endeaver to be Holy, just as our Father in heaven in Holy. Our youthfulness is not an excuse for us not to experience the Lord. If we do not touch the Lord, there could be 2 reasons, 1) unconfessed sins hindering our fellowship with God, 2) problem with our heart.
we need to go before the Lord and ask for His shining, to lead us to confess repent of anything that hinders our fellowship with Him or with the saints. We also need to examine our hearts, that it may be one that desires the Lord.
I’m encouraged to exercise this, and to pray this for all the youths in the Church, that together, we may grow into the fullness of the Lord.
Amen.
Glory be unto His Name!
